The first months of motherhood can be full of love, discovery and meaningful moments. However, they can also bring exhaustion, uncertainty and major changes to everyday life.
Not every new mother has a strong support network nearby. Distance from family, work commitments, changing family structures or migration can leave mothers managing new responsibilities with limited practical and emotional assistance.
HUGS-Pro works to ensure that new mothers and families are not left alone. By training Voluntary Support Workers, the project aims to strengthen local support networks and provide respectful companionship, practical help and emotional care throughout pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period. 🤲
